Connect GitHub

The GitHub App gives Fullbeam access to pull-request changes and review events. It also lets Fullbeam publish a check and maintain one summary comment on the PR.

Install the app

1. Open your Fullbeam team workspace.
2. Go to Settings → GitHub.
3. Select Connect GitHub.
4. Choose the GitHub organization or account.
5. Select the repositories Fullbeam should access.
6. Return to Fullbeam and confirm that the installation is connected.

Start with selected repositories. You can add or remove repositories later from the GitHub App installation settings.

Test the connection

1. Open or update a pull request in a connected repository.
2. Open Pull Requests in Fullbeam.
3. Confirm that the PR appears while analysis is running.
4. When analysis finishes, open the story from Fullbeam or the Fullbeam check on GitHub.

Fullbeam also adds one comment containing links to the complete story and each chapter. New revisions update that comment instead of creating another.

What Fullbeam reads and writes

Fullbeam reads the pull-request description, commits, current diff, checks, and review events needed to build the story. It writes its own check and summary comment. Final approvals, change requests, merges, and branch protection remain in GitHub.

Repository access is limited by both the GitHub App installation and the Fullbeam team workspace. A copied story link does not grant access.
